Mufti Govt failed on all fronts: Niaz

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 5: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Mohd Sharief Niaz has alleged that  BJP-PDP Govt has failed on all fronts  and uncertainty and disappointment among the people of State is increasing day by day .
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Niaz said the only achievement that they have made is politically victimizing Congress leaders and workers. Soon, after taking rein of the State,  Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed stated on the floor of Assembly that transfers of employees has become industry and hub of corruption and in future accountability and transparency will prevail in State. But only after a few days of his statement CAPD Minister transferred Abdul Rashid Zargar, storekeeper and posted him as- incharge of ration depots in  Bhatyas and Chilli in tehsil Bhallessa. He is the employee  who has been arrested and suspended in the past for his alleged involvement in ration  scandles  and another storekeeper at Bhatyas and Chilli who belongs to a Congress family was attached with TSO Gandoh and made political victim.
Niaz said that he brought all the happenings to the notice of CAPD Minister  Zulfkar Ali  but  instead of taking action in this matter, he showed helplessness and said that one MLA has approached his colleague minister and on his demand these transfer orders were issued.
He alleged that link roads, electricity, PHE and irrigation schemes in district Doda are  in deplorable condition and people are suffering badly. Hundreds of school buildings have been damaged due to recent rains.  He said that due to unprecedented rains hundreds of houses  in Bhaderwah, Bhallessa and Chiralla have also been fully damaged but no ex-gratia/ relief has been sanctioned to affected families. He demanded financial assistance to the affected families on the pattern of Kashmir flood affected people of September 2014.
Niaz said that establishment of AIIMS in Jammu is a genuine demand and there is no problem of having one each AIIMS for Jammu and Srinagar. He demanded establishment of AIIMS, IIT, IIM at both places, Jammu and Srinagar.
