JAMMU, Aug 10: Tehsildar Mendhar Subash Dogra has denied the report appearing in a section of press regarding hurling of shoes on him by violent protesters in Mendhar town on Thursday.
Reacting to a news items appearing in today’s paper, Mr Dogra said there was law and order problem in the town and he had gone there to talk to the protesters but no shoes were hurled on him.
Though hundreds of people were witness to the incident in large crowd and a senior police official also rang up this correspondent to play down the incident, the Revenue officer chose to clarify and issue a denial.
