KVIB Officers get award

SRINAGAR, Aug 10:  Rashtriya Kissan Sangathan, a farmers Association presented awards to Dr Amarjit Singh, Ravinder Singh and B R Chauhan for their excellent contribution towards the upliftment of the poor people in rural areas, expansion of Khadi and Village Industries Units in remote areas and creating more employment avenues for unemployed youth of this State. These awards were conferred to them at a significant function held here.
On the occasion, Chief Editor, Punjab Kesari Vijay Chopra was the chief guest, While Minister for Health and Family Welfare Punjab Madan Mohan Mittal was special guest of honour. Minister of Haryana, K.R.  Puniya, and M.P. Arvind Sharma were the guest of honour.
Speaking to the gathering, Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of Khadi and Village Industries Board(KVIB), J&K, Ravinder Singh said that last year, the J&K State received number one position in the country for implementing the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in the State. He said that the Board is continuously making its efforts to provide more employment opportunities to the unemployed youth in the State particularly in far-flung and remote areas and added that in this connection already a number of initiatives have been taken by the Board. He said that Rs. 25 lakh is maximum cost limit for project under manufacturing sectors and Rs. 10 lakh under business sector. He said the maximum limit of subsidiary is 35%.
CEO and Managing Editor, News bee Network, B R  Chauhan said that the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises has launched credit linked Central sponsored scheme, PMEGP to empower entrepreneurs for setting up their micro enterprises. He urged the people to come forward and adopt this scheme.
Dr Amarjit Singh from Virgina, USA said that Khadi Village Industries Commission is doing a wonderful service to the society. He said Khadi as component a Swadeshi was important to Gandhi ji as symbol of employment.
