SRINAGAR, May 7:  Police today arrested two persons along with toy pistols and AK-47 magazines from Anantnag district of South Kashmir while two AK-47 rifles were recovered from cow dung in rice field.
Police arrested two suspected persons and recovered two toy pistols and two AK magazines from their possession near bus stand Anantnag.
The duo has been identified as Imtiyaz Khan son of Gowhar Ali Khan of Lar Ganderbal and Irshad Ahmad Lohar son of Mirbaz of Lolab, Kupwara. They were taken to Joint Interrogation Center (JIC) of the district for questioning.
The locals at Beighpora area of Awantipora today found two AK-47 rifles in a pile of cow dung stored in the rice fields and informed the police. A police team immediately reached the spot and recovered both the rifles from the site.
Police is investigating the matter.
