People hold protest, demand regular water supply

KATHUA, May 7: The residents of Ward number 10 held a protest demonstration demanding regular water supply in their area.
The protest was led by Pankaj Sharma.  The protesters alleged that residents of Ward number 10 have been facing acute shortage of water for the last one month.
They further alleged that they are suffering with severe water shortage and demanded changing of old water pipes with regular water supply.
Later, the PHE officials assured the protesters that their demand will be met soon.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a local gujjar namely Saibh Mohd, who was grazing his cattle along the bank of river Ravi,  swept away when  the water level in the river suddenly got raised. His body could not be traced when last reports came in.
