SRINAGAR, May 8: The Government has decided that the students of Class 10th, awaiting results, will be given provisional admission in Class 11th till their results are declared.
The Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar today said that educational institutions have been directed to allow the students of class 10th to sit in 11th standard on provisional basis till their results are out.
Meanwhile, Mr Akhtar announced Rs 5 lakh each for Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sopore and Government Boys High School Palhallan (Pattan) from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for upgrading furniture and laboratory facilities at these schools.
Taking note of inadequate infrastructure in these schools during his visit to the area, the Minister on-the-spot announced release of funds for the purpose.
