LEH, May 8: Office of the District Magistrate, Leh is expanding its social media presence with the launch of its new Facebook Page and are looking forward to welcoming people of Leh & outside to the page over the coming months.
A Facebook page has been long over-due and it has been created in order to connect to the people and share developmental and other activities of the district adminstration through pictures and videos.
“By expanding to these platforms, District Administration, Leh will be able to engage more directly with the public and provide information on development activities, events, meetings and decisions, law and order issues happening across the district” said District Magistrate, Leh, Saugat Biswas.
He also said , “Both public and the administrarion have important insights to share with each other, and we want to make sure that public become the part of activities of the Government through sharing of thoughts and ideas.”
“On the page you will find daily updates about activities of various departments like education, police, tourism, social welfare, health, enginering etc. It will certainly come in handy in crisis situations. The page will also showcase success stories and cultural events happening accross the district,” he said.

We are inviting that feedback of the people which on will be very valuable for the value addition in the functioning of the district administration,” he added.
