Dr Jitendra launches PM’s 3 social security schemes, highlights their features

JAMMU, May 9: Maintaining that the launch of  Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bheema Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna and Pradhan  Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bheema Yojna are the extension of same endeavour  under which the Jan Dhan Yojna was launched by Prime Minster Narendra Modi last year, Union Minister in PMO with independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh today said that these schemes can provide a sense of security to the common man.
Addressing a function during launch of these schemes at Police Auditorium here, this evening Dr Jitendra Singh said that these schemes can provide a sense of security to elderly people, women and destitute.
Dr Singh, while divulging in detail on each scheme said under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bheema Yojna and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bheema Yojna the premium for accidental and life insurance coverage is just Rs 12 and Rs 3330 per annum respectively which happens to be the lowest and affordable by a vast section of the people across the country.
He said under Atal Pension Yojna one is entitled to fixed monthly pension from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 depending on his contribution. Dr Singh said with launching of these schemes we have become a pension earning society and the people who could not have dreamt of these schemes can have now take their advantage and make their future secure.
He said many more public benefit schemes are being launched by the Government led by Narendra Modi and people can have their advantages. He said the people who are not Government employees can get the benefit of the pension schemes and seek a monthly pension after age of 60 years.
The Union Minister said this is the concept which is in practice in developed countries across the world and by bringing the schemes in India we have tried to take a leap forward.
He said in J&K launching of these schemes will also have an added advantage as there is same party rule at Centre as well as in the State and the schemes could be launched with out hassles.
Dr Singh while complimenting Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he (PM) has taken many steps in changing the economic condition of the people of the country. He said on the evening of May 27 last year world saw Sun rise on Sun set as Mr Modi took over as Prime Minister. This was the beginning of a new era as country started a new journey towards development and progress.
Dr Singh said a new history was created in India as Prime Minister himself said that his Government is wedded to cause of poor and down-trodden. To put his thoughts in practice Mr Modi announced Jan Dhan Yojna on Independence Day last year which surprised economists all over the globe. Later on August 28 he formally launched the Yojna all over the country and it got tremendous response, he added.
Dr Singh said under this yojna account can be opened under Zero balance but for their self esteem and respect people deposited money in banks and there are Rs 15000 to 16000 crore under these accounts.
Dr Ram S Sangapure Executive Director Punjab National Bank highlighted the salient features of the scheme and also assured the Union Minister that banks shall ensure enrollment of these schemes across length and breath.
The event at Jammu was facilitated by PNB. During the launch Minister of Forests and Social Welfare Bali Bhagat, Minster of State for Finance & IT Pawan Gupta and BJP State president and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma were also present on the occasion.
