JAMMU, May 10: In a major relief to aspirants from Kathua and Udhampur districts desirous to join the recruitment rally of para military forces on May 28 and 29, the CRPF has changed the venue of the rally for these candidates.
A corrigendum has been issued by the authorities after the issue was taken up by the Union Minister in PMO with Independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh recently.
Dr Singh had brought into the notice of Union Home Minister the problem to be faced by the youth of these districts in the event of participating in such a recruitment rally which was as per the earlier notification to be held at Leh in Ladakh region.
He had informed the Union Home Minister that as per the past practice such rallies are to be held in local area where from the recruitment is made.
The Union Home Minister soon took up the issue with authorities in CRPF including D G CRPF who intimated that they had outsourced the recruitment process to Service Selection Commission (SSC) which had sent the call letters.
However, the CRPF authorities while rectifying the same said that the call letters can be down loaded from the site of SSC by the aspirants. The SSC has also modified the notification and instead of Leh the candidates can participate in recruitment rally at their respective district headquarters at Kathua and Udhampur.
