JAMMU, May 17: Bharat Nagar Welfare Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its ex-president Prof JL Kotwal, in which residents of all the sectors of Bharat Nagar took part.
Er Kamal Singh has been elected as president of the association, whileas Er Jia Lal Sharma as vice president, Er KK Prashar as general secretary and Rajinder Khajuria as financial advisor.
In the meeting various issues were highlighted by the members including widening of link road from Kamla Palace (Pencil Factory) to Poonch House, drainage, unavailability of medical aid, setting of park for children to play, water, electricity and installation of banner to bar the entry of heavy vehicles on this Kamla Palace-Poonch House link road.
An advisory committee was also framed on the occasion and its members included Prof Jia Lal Kotwal, Surjit Chopra, Dr ML Sharma, Bharat Bushan and SI Koul.
The sector wise representation was also given on the occasion. Vijay
Bhagat will be the representative of Sector A, Raman Gupta and Ronak Ram Sharma of Sector B, Surinder Kumar of Sector C, Ashok Khajuria and Khushi Ram Sharma of Sector D, AK Bhat of Sector D Ext, SK Khajuria of Sector E Ext, SK Aima of Sector E and Vinod Pandita of Sector F.
