NEW DELHI, May 18: Aluminium prices edged up by 45 paise to Rs 116.70 per kg in futures trade today as participants enlarged positions amid a firming trend overseas.
Strong demand in the spot markets also influenced metal prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May inched up by 45 paise, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 116.70 per kg in a business turnover of 98 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in June traded higher by 40 paise, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 118.35 per kg in one lot.
Traders said apart from increased domestic demand, a firming trend in global markets, helped aluminium futures to trade higher. (PTI)
