Road show held against Forest Deptt, JDA

JAMMU, May 18: A road show was held against Forest Department and JDA for demolition of Gujjar houses who have become homeless.
Ch Nazakat Khatana, president during the road show said Gujjars are always discriminated inside city, now they are thrown out from Jungles, Where will they go?
Talking to media persons here, Ch Nazakat Khatana, president J&K Gujjar Bakkerwal Desh Youth Body said that the Gujjar communities are always discriminated and avoided in cities like untouchables and now the Government is also making fun of them by demolishing of their houses and throwing them away from hills.
He further said that this demolition of thousand kanals of land will make the Government anxious and pray in future. We have to show the unity by making this rally a resounding success for our ownership. “We will go for continuous hunger strike till our genuine demands including demolition and ownership rights under Forest Act 2006 is not granted”, he stated.
Other present were Ch Roshan Din, Farooq Ahmed, Abdul Hamid Kasana, Kalu Choudhary Bokda, Latif Ahmed, Abdul Rashid , Sardar Mohammad, Ch Akbar, Ch Saif Ali, Ch Ashfaq and Ch Ab Razaq.
