DDF stages dharna, highlights demands

DODA, May 21: To press their long pending just demands, Doda Development Front (DDF) today staged a sit in and public meeting here at old Bus Stand.
A good number of public, students and representatives of other Non-Government Organizations participated in the meeting.
The speakers demanded construction of the Medical College building in the district at an earliest, adding till then the classes should be started in rented or Hospital building soon after the selection process is complete.
It was impressed upon the Government to open RUSA University in the vicinity of Doda and Jammu University Doda campus to give start to closed campus without wasting much time.
They also stressed on creation of separate administrative division for Doda region, High Court Bench for the district, Upgradation of District Hospital, opening of J&K State Board of School Education at Doda, etc.
Those who spoke on the occasion include Mohd Ahraf Zarger, Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev, Ghulam Hassan Pampori, Hab Lal, Sajjad Malik, Barkat Ullah and many others.
