JAMMU, May 21: The State Government has extended the last date for filing Annual Returns of Assets and Liabilities by the public servants under Lokpal and Lokayukta Act for the years 2014 and 2015.
The officers can now file their returns on or before October 15, 2015. Earlier the last day for filing returns was April 30 for the year 2014 and July 31 for the year 2015.
The last date has been extended because of amendments in the Lokpal and Lokayuktas order 2014 extending the time limit for carrying out necessary changes in the relevant Rules relating to different services and also amendment in Public Servants Amendment Rules 2014 extending the time limit for filling the revised returns.
