JAMMU, May 21: A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan hook at his residence in Kattal Battal area.
As per police sources, Abhishek Singh (24), son of late Krishan Singh of Kattal Battal allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan at his residence.
Finding him hanging in the morning, family members informed the police. On getting information, police team led by SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma rushed to the spot and after arranging private vehicle shifted the body to hospital at Dhansal.
After completing legal-medical formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
