One killed, DD Sericulture among 6 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Aug 12: One person was killed while six others including Deputy Director Sericulture sustained injuries in road mishaps.
Police spokesman said that, one person was killed while four others sustained injuries, when the Maruti car (GJ80A 1581) they were traveling in, rolled down into a gorge at Chinta in district Bhaderwah.
Ajay Kumar, son of Bansi Lal of Salian Talab, Udhampur was killed while Neeraj Gupta, son of Bansi Lal, Purshotam Gupta, son of Om Parkash, Monika Gupta, wife of Purshotam and Renu, wife of Ramesh Gupta, sustained injuries and were shifted to district Hospital Udhampur, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports poured in.
Meanwhile, two persons including Deputy Director Sericulture were injured when the Alto car they were traveling in turned turtle at Pul Doda. They were heading towards Jammu from Bhardarwah when the accident took occurred.
Identified as Deputy Director Sericulture Anan Ullah Sheikh, son of Abdul Majid Sheikh of Bhaderwah and his daughter Sania, both were shifted to district hospital Doda, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations.
