Geelani calls for rally, shutdown

Srinagar May 23: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani today called for a public rally in Shopian town on May 29 after the Friday prayers and complete shutdown in Shopian district on May 30 to remember Asiya and Nelofar on their sixth anniversary.
Geelani demanded impartial investigation into the alleged rape and murder of the two women. “Then Omar Abdullah Government played an important role in shielding the real culprits involved in the incident and they provided a safe passage for their exit. Forgetting this incident is not possible and the personnel involved in this incident be identified and hanged in the public”, he said.
