Steps being taken to create sound academic atmosphere: Kavinder

JAMMU, May 23:  Continuing the regular interaction with the people of his constituency, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA from Gandhi Nagar Constituency Kavinder Gupta today toured several areas of Gandhi Nagar and inspected various ongoing projects and interacted with the people.
The Speaker was accompanied by Joint Commissioner, JMC, Kapil Sharma; Tehsildar, Bahu, Nissar; Executive Engineer, PWD, Mr Abdullah; Executive Engineer, PHE,  Ashok Sharma, Executive Engineer, PDD, Arvind Chibber;  CTO, JMC, Deepak Gupta and other field staff of the various departments.
The Speaker visited Gorkha Nagar, Bahu Fort, Gangyal, Sainik Colony, and other areas of his constituency. Various issues were brought into his notice by the locals which included changing and repairing of street lights, construction of lanes and drains, garbage disposal, requirement of staff and infrastructure in various schools, repairing of nallahs.
Gupta, assured the people that these issues will be solved very soon and he has already instructed the concerned departments to repair the lanes and drains, street lights, ensure regular upliftment of garbage and increase the numbers of dustbins in the constituency, repair damaged nallahs before the onset of Monsoons and the work on these projects has already been started by them, he added.
While inspecting the schools at these places, several requirements were highlighted by the locals. The speaker assured that these requirements will be fulfilled as per the need and further sought the cooperation of the people in general and the concerned citizens in particular.
Lauding the teachers and students for the recent academic result of class 12th, Gupta said that we have the best talent available in the government schools, both among the teachers and the students, who need encouragement to perform their best. The government is putting in all the efforts to streamline the education system by providing them best environment for growth both mental and physical, he added.
