JAMMU, May 23: A deputation of All J&K PHE, ITI Trained and CP Workers’ Union called on Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sukhnandan Choudhary at PWD Guest House here at Gandhi Nagar and apprised them of their genuine demands.
The deputation which was led by its union president, Tanveer Hussain and advisor, Kulbhushan Singh Sambyal, demanded the Minister to intervene personally to regularize on priority the ITI Trained workers engaged in pursuance of Cabinet decision No 116/4.
The Minister replied in positive and told the deputation that the CP workers working since 2005 shall also be considered for regularization in the department. He further said a policy to secure the future of those who were engaged from 2005 onwards, will also be framed.
After getting assurance of the Minister, the Union which has been on agitation for past many days, withdrew the agitation.
