NDP supports Jammu bandh on AIIMS issue

JAMMU, May 23: The National Democratic Party (NDP) has extended full support to the ‘AIIMS Coordination Committee’ comprising of Jammu High Court Bar, Jammu Chamber and Transport Union members and appealed the people to Jammu to get united for the common cause.
In an emergency meeting of the party held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Ravi Bakshi, all the members strongly criticized the Jammu BJP leadership for its total sell-out and surrender to the PDP. They alleged that BJP which was offered massive support by the people of Jammu during  Assembly elections, has lost its decades old credibility and trust among the people of Jammu. They stood exposed before the people who have now realized that  how much they are serious about the core issues of Jammu. They have shut their mouths for the sake of power.
The speakers demanded that AIIMS be restored to Jammu and Tawi Artificial Lake should be completed shortly. They condemned the statement of Mufti Sayeed who claimed that Tawi lake project is not feasible. Extending full support to May 27 Jammu bandh call, they appealed the people to display unity and make bandh grand success.
Rakesh Khajuria advocate, Ravinder Singh, N K Atri, S C Sharma, Vijay Anand and RK Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
