JAMMU, May 23: BJP State President & Member of Parliament Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha, Constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma along with Speaker Legislative Assembly inaugurated 250 KV transformer in Sainik Colony today.
A large number of people, including BJP leaders Vikram Randhawa, Sanjeev Manmotra, Baldev Singh, Jaideep Sharma and social figures, were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering Jugal Kishore Sharma said that it has been a long pending demand of the people for installation of a transformer in the area and the same has been fulfilled now. With the rise in mercury in Jammu, there is dire need of a transformer and this commissioned transformer will now definitely give respite to the people of the area, he added.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta said that present Government is taking all possible step to lesson power crises in the State during Summer season. “Being local representatives it’s our duty to listen people’s grievances and redress the same”, he added.
He said that BJP and present Government is committed for the overall development of people and every effort to be made in this connection.
