PRP delegation calls on DyCM

SRINAGAR, May 23: The representatives of People’s Republican Party (PRP) held a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh here and discussed various issues confronting the people of the State with him.
The delegation was led by PRP chief, Advocate G M Tramboo. It demanded immediate rehabilitation of the last year flood victims of the State by providing them adequate compensation for the losses suffered by them.
The problems faced by the people due to power crisis were also discussed with Dr Singh and PRP leaders demanded that steps be taken to better the power supply and  safe drinking water supply to the people.
It also suggested that the new employment package be reviewed so that the unemployed youth don’t feel betrayed by this package and steps be taken to create employment avenues in the State by giving impetus to industry which is the main source of employment generation.
The problems of need based workers, contractors and labourers were also discussed with Dr Singh. The delegation while assuring full cooperation of PRP to Government in eradication of corruption, unemployment and other problems faced by the people appealed him that Yatris Niwas for Amarnath yatris be established both at Anantnag and Ganderbal districts. It also demanded a probe into non functioning of one unit of USHP IInd and other projects.
Dr Singh assured the delegation that coalition Government will put the State back on rails and ensure that every section of society and every region gets its due.
The other members of the delegation included G A War, Mukhtar Ahmed Kathwari, Bashir Ahmed Malik, Harjit Singh and Vikram Singh all vice presidents of PRP. Ghulam Mohammed Hamdard, general secretary of the Party, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani, its chief spokesperson, Ghulam Ahmed Rather,  Sheikh Maqbool and Abdul Razak Dar.
