JAMMU, May 23: Security forces recovered four mortar shells in the border belt of Samba district and safely defused them away from civilian population last night.
Official reports said on the basis of information received from local villages, security forces recovered four shells from Devika river beds at Rangoos camp in Ramgarh border belt of Samba sector last evening.
The shells, though alive, were in a rusted form, sources said, adding that they were safely defused.
A Bomb Disposal Squad took away the shells to an isolated area away from the civil population and defused them.
