Soz meets people after bridge collapse

SRINAGAR, Aug 12: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz has taken stock of the problems of the people hailing from Rainawari and Motiyar in Srinagar who affected with bridge collapse and appealed the people not to resort to the stone pelting and damaging public property.
Prof Soz along with some party leaders including  Dr Sayed Ahmed, Abdul Ghani Khan and Nissar Ahmed Khan visited the area and got to know the acute problems faced by people in Mir Behri and other areas of  Dal lake for want of proper road connectivity.
The people explained their difficulties to the visiting Congress leaders in respect of road connectivity and shortage of drinking water in the entire area .
Prof Soz assured the people to take up their problems with the concerned agencies and appealed them to show restrain and not indulge in stone pelting which had created difficulties for police to render help to the families effected by unfortunate incident yesterday in which a bridge had collapsed causing injuries to many people.
Congress leader further asked the people to explain their difficulties in a democratic way so that early redressal could be possible.
