Special recruitment ordinance

Sir,
The new recruitment policy prepared by the State Govt has drawn criticism from almost all segments of the society especially from the unemployed youth. Earlier also, the previous NC -Congress Govt had announced a recruitment policy and parties like PDP and BJP  opposed that tooth and nail. But the same parties and leaders who once  opposed this policy now in the corridors of power announced a similar policy which is more controversial and anti-youth in comparison to previous one. The proposed policy has many flaws like undermining the sanctity of autonomous recruitment agencies like Service Selection Board, Public Service Commission, appointing the new recruits on contractual basis for a long period of seven years and their regularization only after obtaining satisfactory performance certificate from respective heads of departments. More controversial is that the gazetted post like lecturers, doctors are to be filled  up at district levels by the committees headed by the respective Deputy Commissioners. Also, the wages paid to the new recruits amounts to insult to these youth.. The ordinance also provides for the constitution of an empowered committee in the Finance Department for considering the cases of the contractual appointees for regularization. This ordinance is like sprinkling salt on the wounds of unemployed and educated youth.
Therefore the decision of the Govt to form a Cabinet sub-committee headed by DyCM to amend its various clauses is a welcome step and hope that Govt will consider and redraft all these controversial clauses.
Yours etc…
