Bhalla launches Rs 18 lakh development works

JAMMU, Aug 12: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today said that people’s participation is imperative in the development of the State as they are the main stake holders in the process.
The Minister said this while interacting with the inhabitants of Sanjay Nagar, Shastri Nagar and Ashok Nagar in Nai Basti after launching up-gradation work of lanes and drains in the area to be completed at a cost of Rs 18 lakh.
The Minister said that the Government was making all out efforts for providing better infrastructure and amenities to the people. He called upon the people to extend their cooperation and keep a watch on the implementation of schemes for better results on the ground. He said that Coalition Government was committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of the State at their doorsteps, adding that various development projects have been initiated in the State to facilitate the public.
The Minister also directed the PHE and PDD officers to replace worn out water supply pipes and wires besides laying of water supply pipes well before the start of up-gradation work of lanes and drains.
Mr. Bhalla said that the main focus of the Government was to develop every corner of the state with modern lines, for which liberal funding has been provided by the Central Government to the State.
The Minister said Government has approved various prestigious projects under Tourism Sector in Jammu region to boost tourists attractions.
Later, the people of the areas apprised the Minister about their grievances and demands which mainly include un-interrupted power supply, upgradation of lanes and drains in left out localities, provision of safe drinking water, benefits under various state and centre sponsored schemes like BPL, Pension Schemes, Widow pension Scheme, etc.
Responding to their demands, the Minister assured them that all their genuine demands would be redressed at the earliest. In order to improve educational facilities, the Minister said Government has upgraded twelve high schools under RAMSA in his home constituency and provided all infrastructural facilities to the students so that they could get quality education in the institutions.
At Gole Pulli in Talab Tilloo, Mr. Bhalla also dedicated Vigen India -II to people of the locality so that they can get rid of all diseases like joint pains, spondelitis, high uric acid, sciatica, arthritis, diabetes, fatty liver, migraine, asthma, respiratory diseases, cancer, cyst of soft body parts, skin ailments, prostate enlargement, high PSI count, piles, excess fat besides other male and female problems.
