DC interacts with prominent citizens

POONCH, May 24: The Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Nisar Ahmed Wani interacted with prominent citizens and heads of various religious groups at Dak Bunglow here.
Senior Superintendent of Police, J S Johar, Additional District Development Commissioner, Arvind Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shafiq Ahmed Choudhary besides prominent citizens and representatives of various religious groups attended the meeting
The participants representing different sections of society apprised him about the problems being faced by the people. The issues raised ranged from the permanent restoration of SK Bridge and restoration of damaged power infrastructure to the improvement in the condition of roads and adequate ration and regular water supply. Besides, town planning and improvement in the functioning of PMC, overloading and the issue of illegal excavation from river bed were vociferously raised.
The speakers highlighted the age old tradition of communal harmony in the district and hoped that administration will further facilitate continued peace and harmony. They assured the Deputy Commissioner that people irrespective of caste, color and religion are behind the administration in ensuring peace and development.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Wani reminded the participants of the key role of civil society in ensuring a proactive and responsive administration and asked them to bring to his notice any public issue and grievance for immediate redressal adding that their support and cooperation is vital in resolving key issues of public importance.
