KATRA, May 24: An elderly man was crushed to death by a rashly driven minibus near Niharika at Katra Bus Stand this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Ram Das, son of Munshi Ram of Moori, Katra. He was walking on the roadside when speeding minibus JK02AK-0855 hit him. The victim was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Both driver and conductor of the minibus fled the scene after the accident. Police has registered a case in this connection.
