JAMMU, Aug 12: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today resolved to launch a movement for the rights of the youth in the state who are facing many problems due to rising unemployment and corruption.
This was stated by BJYM State president Munish Sharma while addressing a meeting of youth from Kashmir valley here today organized in connection with Yuva Jodo Abhiyaan.
Fayaz Ahmed, Ali Mohammad Wagay and Mohd. Abdullah Ganai were the prominent youth leaders from Kashmir who attended the meeting.
Sharma said today lakhs of education youth having degrees in provincial as well as non professional courses, are sitting idle as Government till date has failed to adopt any youth policy and create employment avenues for them. He said the youth who mange to seek the job are also exploited as they have to work on meager salary.
Sharma, who recently concluded his five-day tour of Kashmir and Ladakh alongwith State general secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, said that during his meetings with the youth in different areas of Valley, it was found that the youth has resentment against the present NC-Congress coalition and are openly raising their voice for their rights. He appealed the youth not to get misled by the leaders of the Congress who have been trying to mislead the people on the implementation of 73rd and 74th Amendments. These leaders should first clarify as to why they do not raise voice against the non seriousness of their Party towards implementing these amendments in their party’s internal meetings and gatherings. He demanded that the Government should frame a clear youth policy to absorb youth on permanent basis jobs so that they are not made to suffer any more.
State Press secretary, Balbir Ram, Aseem Gupta, Vijay Choudhary, Parimoksh Seth, Amrik Singh,Ajay Vaid, Sachin Gupta, Ishant Gupta, Mackson Tickoo, Chetan Mehra and Bandeep Kumar also garlanded the youth joining BJYM.
