4-day religious function culminates at Kailash Vidya Dham

JAMMU, May 27: The four days long religious function culminated at Kailash Vidya Dham Chinore with Shanti Homa today.
The function was organized by Kailash Vidya Dham Trust. It started on May 24 with Shoba Yatra which was flagged of VHP patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey and later a religious gathering was also held in which Union MoS in PMO with independent Charge of North Eastern States Dr Jitendra Singh was the chief guest and Minister of State for Education and Culture Priya Sethi was the guest of honour. It was followed by Kalsh pooja and Maha Yagya which culminated yesterday with puranahuti and serving of prashad to devotees.
The devotees from different parts of country including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, HP and other States besides Jammu attended the function. Three highly learned Pandits from Rishi Kesh performed Hawan which was held under the supervision of Prof A K Ogra general secretary of the Trust. The president of the Trust Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, Sarpanch Chinore and district president Rural BJP was also among one of the Yajmans of the Hawan.
The devotees were served with prashad after Puranhauti. Giving the religious discourses during the function Swami Divyanand Ji dharam Sangrakshak stressed on Gao Raksha (protection of cow) a sacred animal of Hindus. He demanded complete ban on bovine smuggling and enforcement of law in letter and spirit for protection of cows in the State.
Prof A K Ogra sought contribution of all in running the Trust for social service and betterment of society. He highlighted the programmes of the Trust for future. On the occasion Trust also felicitated the group of volunteers engaged in social service. They included Ashok Sharma, Trustee,  Avtar Krishan Bhat, Inder Kumar, Bansi Lal, Ashok Kachroo, Virender Bhat advocate, Virender Raina, Chaman Lal Razdhan advocate, Ashok Kumar Koul, Vijay Kumar, V K Daftri, M K Thaploo, R K Matoo,  Pintoo Ji and Vijay Kumar.
