JAMMU, May 28: A mock ‘Emergency Response Drill’ was conducted by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) at their LPG Bottling Plant situated at Bari Brahmana.
Various State Govt departments, namely J&K Pollution Control Board, J&K Fire Services and neighboring industries like Hindustan Petroleum Corporation participated in this exercise.
Indian Oil Corporation’s Plant Manager, Samresh Kumar, who was the Fire-in-chief & site controller, supervised the entire mock emergency drill. He informed that such exercises are conducted by IOC on a regular basis so as to assess the emergency preparedness of their employees and response time of the concerned Government. departments and the neighbouring mutual-aid partner industries.
