SAMBA, May 28: The goods worth lakhs of rupees perished after a Chutu Cosmetic shop caught fire at Mandir Market Vijaypur this afternoon.
The cause of the fire was stated to be short circuit. The fire was brought under control after a fire tender reached the spot from Samba but till then entire goods in he shop had gutted in flames.
The panic gripped the market and shopkeepers and other passers by rushed the spot to control the fire. The Vijaypur Police also swung into action and it immediately called the Fire Station Samba. The damage caused in the fire is stated to be worth several lakhs of rupees.
The Vijaypur police has registered a case under relevant sections of law.
