DODA, May 29: Forest Department seized 18 scants of kail from Saw Mill premises and a house here today.
As per official spokesperson, a team of Forest/FPF officials headed by Abhijeet Joshi DFO Doda and Ravinder Singh Deputy Director FPF Doda conducted raid in the Saw Mill premises of Saja Begum, wife of Ghulam Hassan Nehru of Nehru Chowk Doda and seized 3 kail scants.
Besides this, the team also seized 15 kail scants from the house of Karamtullah Nehru of Nehru Chowk Doda.
Accordingly, the kail scants were sized under Section 6 and 26/FA and brought to the Departmental Timber Sale Depot Doda for safe custody.
A case under the provisions of Forest Act against the said persons has been registered.
Moreover, the field functionaries of Doda Forest Division under the supervision of Abhijeet Joshi DFO Doda retrieved 101 kanals of forest land in Siraj, Kuntwara and Thakrai Ranges of Doda Forest Division.
