JAMMU, May 29: CII J&K State Council organized a workshop on 7 QC Tools for industry.
Welcoming the delegates,  Rahul Sahai, Convenor, MSME & Manufacturing Competitiveness Panel, CII J&K State Council and  Managing Director, Sahai Group of Industries,  said that CII has been continuously working towards its mission on strengthening the industry through its various activities with the help of its Centers of Excellence (CoEs) helping SMEs transform their business processes.
Pertinent to mention that 7QC Tools form the fundamental foundation for all problem solving and quality control activities and are also an important element of Lean Manufacturing. They are used to analyze the production process, identify the major problems, control fluctuations of product quality, and provide solutions to avoid future defects.
Statistical literacy is necessary to effectively use the seven QC tools. These tools use statistical techniques and knowledge to accumulate data and analyze them. The knowledge of these tools has become essential to improve the internal competitiveness of organizations.
The objective of the workshop was to make the participants understand the 7 QC tools, Methodology of improving quality, reducing in-house rejection, reducing customer complaints and customer returns, role and responsibility of Production Supervisor Basics of Quality Circle for Product Quality Improvement.
The workshop was conducted by Rajesh Dahiya, an experienced Counselor in Manufacturing Excellence at CII AVANTHA Center of Competitiveness, Chandigarh. Workshop was attended by 40 participants from Samba, Gangyal and Baribrahmana Industrial Area.
