Coriander, chilli rise on fall in supply

NEW DELHI, May 30:  Coriander and red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely supported by fall in supplies from producing belts against rising demand from local parties and stockists.
Further, export enquiries also supported the upside.
Coriander and red chilli prices edged up by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 12,000-17,000 and Rs 7,900-15,600 per quintal, respectively.
Buying by local parties, stockists and exporters against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and chilli prices at the wholesale kirana market here, traders said.
