Mustard oil weakens on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, May 30:  Barring a fall in mustard oil due to sluggish demand from local parties, other edible and non-edible oils held steady at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today in the absence of worthwhile activity.
Marketmen said besides weak demand from local parties, adequate stocks position put pressure on mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) oil eased by Rs 50 to Rs 6,950 per quintal.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,750, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,600-1,650, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 6,950, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,200-1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,700, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,400, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,600, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,700, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,600 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,375-2,425.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,400, Castor Rs 9,900-10,000, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450. (PTI)
