SRINAGAR, May 30: Deputy Chief Minister today presided over a meeting convened to review the status of the developmental projects approved by the Chief Minister for Kashmir and Jammu divisions.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Ch. Lal  Singh, Minister for Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Bukhari, Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Drabu, Minister for R&B, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, besides administrative secretaries of several departments were present in the meeting.
A Committee headed by Finance Minister was also framed with Administrative Secretaries of Law, GAD and Finance Departments as its members. The Committee has been asked to frame the guidelines for the implementation of the projects and submit its report by June 5.
The meeting discussed in the detail the aspects of project implementation and observed that modalities and guidelines need to be framed before taking up new projects approved by the Chief Minister. Safeguarding the interests of the State while outsourcing the projects under PP mode was also discussed.
The meeting also discussed the schemes approved by the Center under Prasad and Swadesh Darshan for the State, the infrastructural development, exploring tourism potential of Ranjit Sagar Dam, construction of parking facilities at Panjthirthi, employing locals in hydro power projects coming up in Chenab valley and development of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Center.
