JAMMU, May 30: In an initiative to provide better facilities to the residents of R S Pura, MLA R S Pura Gagan Bhagat today laid foundation stone of modern toilet complex (MTC) near SDM Office R S Pura.
The toilet complex will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 14.00 lakh which will be completed under the supervision of Urban Development Department in Constituency Development Plan (CDP).
Addressing the gathering Dr Bhagat said that with the construction of this modern toilet complex in the area there the people of area will heave a sigh of relief. He said this was a long pending demand of the people and it will be completed within a stipulated period of time.
Lauding the role of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh Dr Bhagat said the Municipal Committee R S Pura was making best possible efforts to maintain cleanliness in the town.
Later Dr Bhagat also inaugurated broadband facility and computer lab of Government Boys Higher Secondary School R S Pura and a toilet complex at the same school under RMSA.
The prominent among those who were present included SDM, R S Pura, SDPO, RS Pura, Tehsildar R S Pura, SHO R S Pura, BJP leader, Dr Karan Bhagat, Prakash Jha, Inderjeet Sudan, Harbhajan Singh, Pammi, Charanjeet, Surjeet, Natharam, Joginder and others.
