Ganga lays foundation of Rs 2 crore bridge at Patti

SAMBA, May 30: Minister of Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today laid foundation stone of a bridge at village Patti in Arnia area.
The bridge will be constructed in a stipulated period of one year, said Mr Ganga while addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone of the bridge.
He said a population of over 20,000 people of about 25 villages will be benefited after the construction of the bridge which was a long pending demand of the people.
The bridge will be constructed by PWD Department and Mr Ganga asked the engineers to ensure the quality control of the work.
He said the coalition government is committed to overall development of the State and there will be no discrimination with any region as was a practice in past. He said the equitable development of all three regions of the State can ensure the prosperity of the people of J&K and coalition will take all the steps in this regard.
Mr Ganga asked the people to maintain a vigil and see that the developmental works are being carried as per the standard as the people are also equal partners in the democracy.
Highlighting the achievements of one year rule of Narendra Modi Government at Centre, he said that the nation is marching to touch new heights under the stewardship of Mr Modi.
He said the economy has stabilized after NDA took over last year and growth rate has also improved. Various new projects were taken up in hand for the welfare of the people especially those living under below poverty line.
He said the Jan Dhan Yojna, social security schemes like insurance and Atal Pension Schemes are a guarantee to the upliftment of the poor. Besides, many steps were taken for the betterment of farmers, working class etc.
He said the making India slogan of Mr Modi has started working and industrialists from abroad and within the country have shown keen interest for investment in mega projects. This will bring a revolution in the country by generating employment avenues for lakhs unemployed youth, he added.
