The State Police Department is rendering valuable service to the people of the State in security related sensitive matters. There is full thrust at various levels on modernization of the State police in view of militancy and crimes related to militancy. Modern technological advancement, especially in the IT sector, has made it possible to monitor the movement and activities of criminals, their nefarious designs, their conduits and moles and everything they can imagine. The Police organization has also floated Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) and this network has spread its fangs all over the State. In a recent evaluation activity, the Director General of Police has held discussions with his juniors about the progress achieved on different aspects of the project. Police Department needs to incorporate modern gadgets of crime tracking for better results.
We are hopeful that with the induction of modern technology of crime tracking, the police will be able to raise a corpus of record and that would help in tracking the thread leading to various crimes. It would be very helpful in containing crimes in the State.
