CGPWA holds meeting

JAMMU, June 1: Retired DIG Jammu-Kathua Range Shakeel Ahmed Beig joined Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association (CGPWA), J&K Jammu.
On the occasion, SS Wazir, President of the Association described briefly about the distinguished services of Mr Beig in the Police for around 35 years. Beig earned many awards and commendations, he added.
“Beig has been lending his active support to the Association activities for the past 3 years. His contribution, especially in bringing out Pensioners Journal every year by the Association merits special mention. The Journal containing useful information is distributed free of cost to the Association Members and social activists, besides prominent citizens for dissemination of information on pension, health and social welfare activities undertaken by the Association”, Wazir stated.
On the occasion, Dr Sardari Lal, DIG (VET) BSF (retd) and Vijay Singh Sambyal, who too relinquished office as DIG Police in January, 2015, also joined the association. They had received many awards and commendations, including Gallantry Award.
Wazir maintained that the talent pool of the Association has been enriched further with the new entrants and their talent will be of great benefit in furtherance of Association activities in service to the civil society, in general and pensioner and senior citizen segment, in particular.
