SRINAGAR, June 2: The Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s RAMTECH Solutions for computerization of land records in the State. The MoU was signed in presence of Minister for Revenue Javed Mustafa Mir.
Financial Commissioner, Revenue Dr. Arun Kumar, (Ex-Officio Chief Executive Officer, JakLaRMA) signed the MoU on behalf of the Government while Manish Sanwalka, Director, represented M/s RAMTECH Solutions.
In the first phase of the programme, being launched under National Land Records Management Programme (NLRMP), two districts of the State, Srinagar and Jammu, will be taken up while on successful completion of this phase, 10 more districts would be covered in 2nd phase and remaining districts in 3rd phase.
During the detailed presentation on the Plan of Action, it was informed that the engaged agency would not only take up the computerization of land records but also digitized Cadastral Maps, integrate Textual and Spatial data, conduct survey/re-survey, wherever required, update the records of rights and develop a robust web based GIS for a total end to end solution.
Highlighting the importance of the National Land Records Management Programme, the Minister said it will provide stakeholders easy access to their land records from anywhere in the world without approaching any revenue official. He said the system will also enable automatic sending of SMS/emails to the land owners if any action is initiated about their land holding, whether authorized or unauthorized.
Commissioner Secretary IT, Secretary, Revenue, Director General Budget, Director Area Planning, Director Finance,(RD), Additional Secretary Law, Regional Director Survey and Land Records, Jammu besides other senior officers of Revenue Department were present on the occasion.
