Masoor, its dal edges up on scattered buying

NEW DELHI, June 3:  Prices of masoor and its dal rose up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following scattered buying against tight supplies from producing belts.
However, other pulses after moving in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said some buying by retailers amid lower arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in masoor and its dal prices.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,700-6,900 and Rs 6,700-7,000 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,850-7,950 and Rs 7,950-8,050 per quintal respectively.
