Charri Mubarak leaves for Kailash Kund

BHADERWAH, Aug 14: The Charri Mubarak of famous annual yatra to the holy Kailash Kund left from ancient Gatha ( Vasuki Nag Temple) amidst chanting of slogans and beating of drums.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bhaderwah Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti, ASP Bhaderwah R.L Bhagat, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Sudershan Kumar, CEO BDA K.S Parihar and SDPO Bhaderwah Jameel Ahmed besides other senior officers of Tehsil headquarters and large number of people from all walks of life accompanied the Charri Mubarak upto village Sungli.
The yatra after having a night stay at Hayan ( Nalthi) will reach the holy Kailash Kund tomorrow. On reaching holy Kund the yatries will take bath in the cold waters of lake and worship Lord Shiva and Vasuki Nag Ji. After performing Pooja, Havan and other religious rituals the yatra will start return journey to Bhaderwah on August 16.
The Sub-Divisional Administration has made elaborate arrangements of medicare, drinking water, electricity, fire wood, security and other allied facilities for the smooth and enthusiastic conduct of yatra.
The yatra being historic one is attended by the people from all walks of life from within the District as well as from out side the District in huge numbers. This year over 7000 devotees are expected to visit the holy Kailash Kund.
The Kailash Kund is situated at a height of 14241 ft. from sea level and so surrounded by mountains and glaciers.
