JAMMU, Aug 14: Chairman National Panthers Party and member National Integration Council, Prof Bhim Singh has accused Central leadership of depriving the people of Jammu and Kashmir of their share of benefits of Indian democracy and rule of law.
In a press statement issued here today the NPP leader regretted that since 1947, the people of J&K have remained denied of their fundamental freedom, justice and equity which is enjoyed by every Indian citizen. Prof Singh said that unfortunately Union Parliament has deliberately chosen to keep its legislative authority out of J&K legislation, resulting in constitutional chaos, disorder and political anarchy in J&K State.
“This is tragedy that people of India and the entire leadership of the country are ignorant about the facts that Constitution has not been extended to J&K and nor the Indian flag which is being hoisted throughout the country on August 15. What message the Panthers Party can give to our people that the Indian flag is not the flag of J&K that the Constitution of India is not applicable to J&K that the freedom and fundamental rights which are enjoyed by every citizen of India are not the part of J&K Constitution”, NPP leader maintained.
As long as this discrimination with people of J&K is not removed by the Parliament of India, there can be no peace and the enemies of India shall continue to exploit this situation by abetting with the anti-nationals in J&K and outside. Prof Singh said that reunion and reorganization of J&K is the only way out to restore complete peace in the region.
