JAMMU, June 3: All India Bharatiya Kissan Sangh (AIBKS), state general secretary Subash Dasgotra has demanded immediate blacktopping of roads in all rural areas of Jammu.
In a statement, Dasgotra said the State Government was only concerned about blacktopping of roads in the cities and towns while ignoring completely the rural belt. He added that there were rural areas in Jammu, which haven’t seen the blacktopped roads.
He appealed to the Government to construct roads in the rural areas to increase connectivity and mobility of the people as they had to spend lot of time in the absence of roads. He charged the Government with completely ignoring the rural areas in terms of road construction.
The Kissan leader stated that water was not reaching up to tail end of the canals as Ranbir canal was not completed properly this season.
