13 bovines rescued, 3 arrested

RAMBAN, June 4: Police rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested three persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Ramban police station laid a naka at Shan Palace on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and intercepted two Mahindra vehicles bearing registration number JK05A-5374 and JK14B-9570.
During checking, police rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested three persons, who were smuggling the bovines to Valley.
The accused have been identified as Tariq Hussain (driver), son of Peer Wazir of Jakhani, district Udhampur, Mohammad Shabir (driver), son of Feroz Din of Chenani and Babar Hussain, son of Gulam Mohammad of Batote.
A case under FIR Number 63/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at police station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Ajay Singh Chib made the arrest under the supervision of DySP DAR Joginder Singh and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
