Jammu, June 5: Jammu City’s much awaited happening for Children, ‘Natrang’s Summer Theatre Workshop-2015’ is commencing from June 8, 2015 at Natrang Studio Theatre (Air-conditioned), Jammu. This was informed by Balwant Thakur, founder Director of Natrang in a press briefing here today who said that daily timings will be 8 to 10 am and children between the age of 7 to 15 will be considered for this camp. This year is even more important for Natrang as this is going to be the Silver Jubilee year of its Children Theatre wing which was initiated in the year 1990 and the Children Summer Theatre camp have been a regular feature since then.
The children Theatre Camp-2015 offers a unique opportunity for Jammu Children as this year a trainer from Washington DC (USA) will conduct classes during the first week of the workshop.
As Natrang is doing regular Children Theatre in the State for the last 25 years, it has trained, inspired and motivated thousands of children till now and most of them have excelled brilliantly in various fields be it acting, management, civil services, medicine, engineering, social work etc. it clearly speaks that no matter, what you want to become in life, the confidence, spontaneity, self-exploration, creativity and discipline you imbibe because of theatre acts as a guiding light and motivational force for you to succeed.
Balwant Thakur further informed that children have immense possibilities and abilities to excel but they are required to be explored through such highly innovative techniques of theatre and arts. They are required to be infused self confidence and equipped with new tools of communication, organising self and public speaking. Here is the opportunity being provided by Natrang which Balwant Thakur desired all to avail. The training module of Natrang’s Children theatre has been devised by Padmashree Balwant Thakur, who has taken the children theatre of Jammu to the entire length and breadth of the Country.
As theatre requires a high degree of confidence, discipline, creativity, spontaneity, team spirit and consistence, those trained during theatre workshops imbibe the above qualities if they are trained in a professional manner by experts, the same ambience is provided by Natrang to the Children of Jammu where children get a chance to get trained under the expert supervision of Balwant Thakur, Neeraj Kant, Sumeet Sharma, Asheish Nijhawan (LISPA,London)Aarushi Thakur (Trained in London), and visiting trainers of the allied arts. Those interested may immediately register with Natrang. For details may call 9419106669, 9906048670, 0191-2578337.
