One day convention of FMPHWs held

JAMMU, June 5: Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers Welfare Association (FMPHWWA) held one day convention under the chairmanship of Neelam Kumari.
On the occasion, Sushil Sudan, president, JKMEF was the chief guest, whereas large number of FMPHWs and members of JKMEF participated in the convention.
The speakers deliberated on the issue of non-drawal of salary of FMPHWs working under 2211-Family Welfare for the past 16 to 18 months besides permanent solution to 2211 Head.
They stated that despite assurance of releasing salary of FMPHWs within 10 days by Minister for Health, Medical Education, ARI and Trainings Choudhary Lal Singh, no fruitful result has come out so far, forcing the FMPHWs to come on roads.
During the convention, FMPHWs decided to hold one day protest dharna in favour of their demands on June 12 at Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park in Directorate of Health Service Complex, Jammu.
Among others present were Vinod Kumar, general secretary JKMEF, Kamla Devi, Kanta Kumari, Sudesh Kumari, Shakuntla Devi, Sarso Devi, Bimla Devi, Champa Devi, Rekha Rani, Archana Gupta, Soma Devi, Raj Kumari, Pushpinder Kour, Lalita Bhan, Kamlesh Devi, Nirmal Kour, Sapna and Kavita Kumari.
