UDHAMPUR, June 5: A young man was found dead under mysterious circumstances from his rented accommodation in Ward number 17, near Forest Office, here today.
The deceased was identified as Thakur Dass (31), son of Fufa Ram of Ramnagar, presently putting up at Ward number 17. He was found lying dead by some neighbours, who informed the police that shifted the body to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.
Cause of death could not be ascertained immediately while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, another young man attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Chakher area of Udhampur here last night. He was found lying unconscious and the family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where his condition was stated to be stable. He has been identified as Agya Ram (35), son of Tridu Ram of Chakher.
